kraft macaroni & cheese recall

STAFF-  Kraft Foods has announced a recall of 6.5 million boxes of their “Original Flavor Kraft Macaroni & Cheese.”  According to the press release by Kraft, the reason for the recall is that some of the packages might have metal fragments in them.  The boxes being recalled have a ‘best when used by’ date ranging between Sept. 18, 2015 and Oct. 11, 2015. The boxes also have a “C3” code located just underneath the ‘best when used by’ date.

Kraft issued this voluntary recall after they received notices of eight separate reports by consumers of metal being found in the boxes.  No injuries or deaths resulted in these eight incidents.  Kraft stated, “We deeply regret this situation and apologize to any consumers we have disappointed.”
